Yoga is a service to be given and a service to be received. A service that can continuously show up and meet you exactly where you are. A service that does not pass judgment of who you are, what you look like, your ability, or your experience, but offers a space of acceptance and safety for you to be entirely yourself. A service for you to hold what is given and to give away what no longer serves you. A service that gradually fosters a sense of compassion, patience, and understanding towards yourself and the people around you. Yoga is for giving.

For Giving Yoga & Wellness approaches and shapes each and every Yoga class through a trauma-informed lens, meaning that it is acknowledged and honored that each individual has their own unique life experiences that may positively or negatively impact their day to day lives. Our goal is to utilize the practice of Yoga as a consistent tool to help us process our trauma or unpleasant life events, feel safer within our bodies, minds, and emotions, as well as build resiliency to our traumatic memories and possible difficulties ahead.

For Giving Yoga & Wellness encourages and upholds an inclusive class environment, where each individual is accepted and welcomed. Classes are created and finalized in regards to your needs, which are communicated through direct feedback and survey questionnaires. All preferences and accommodations are welcome, with of course the consideration of others in group class settings. A Yoga practice is always unique and personal to each individual; it is your own. Therefore, For Giving Yoga & Wellness emphasizes the power of choice and each individual’s agency on and off the yoga mat. One can choose what they would like to practice and disregard anything they do not. Every choice is valued, without judgment or expectation. This is your practice.
