Meet the Teacher

Meredith Jones is a Yoga Alliance certified trauma-informed Yoga teacher with over 100 hours of teaching experience, Reiki Level II practitioner, Chair Yoga facilitator, and a firm believer that each individual holds the key to their own healing. She also graduated from York College of Pennsylvania in 2018 with her B.A. in Literary and Textual Studies. Meredith received her 200 hour YTT certification with School Yoga Institute in October 2023 and received her 50 hour CE in Chair Yoga with Aura Wellness Center in May 2024. She received her Reiki Level II certification with Linda Dieffenbach at Wellness in Harmony in October 2024 and plans to continue gaining more knowledge in the specified areas. After struggling with her own trauma and hardships, Meredith continuously reaches for these healing modalities as tools to gain awareness, exercise patience, overcome fears and anxieties, and show love and compassion to herself and others. She is incredibly honored and grateful to share and teach the gift of Yoga and energy healing with others. Meredith's experience teaching Yoga is primarily to individuals healing from substance use, addictive behaviors, and mental health struggles in recovery treatment settings, while also teaching private sessions one-on-one.  Meredith also has experience working as a Teaching Assistant / Paraeducator in elementary school settings and working with children with disabilities. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family, pets, and friends, being outdoors, and thrifting.

“I have been practicing Yoga asana for over 10 years, but deepened my practice about 5 years ago by including meditation and the study of Yogic philosophies. I have always admired Yoga for its teachings of calmness and clarity, while also building strength and endurance in the mental, physical, and emotional body. Yoga demonstrates to us the dualities of life, of how to be in a state of balance and acceptance, while tapping into the present spaces within us and around us. We are our own healers, implying we can only heal ourselves and this journey of healing is continuous. Although an infinite and often difficult process, our healing journeys become much more manageable when we acquire and establish sustainable tools to support us.”
